ORDER
(Section 127)

 

WHEREAS on September 24, 1998, the Ontario Securities Commission (the "Commission") issued a Notice of Hearing pursuant to section 127 of the Securities Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. S.5, as amended (the "Act") in respect of the Respondents;

AND WHEREAS on September 24, 1998, the Commission issued a Temporary Order against the Respondents;

AND WHEREAS on October 9, 1998, the Commission adjourned the hearing and extended the Temporary Order in this matter to February 5, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. unless further extended by Order of the Commission;

AND WHEREAS the Respondents, other than John Newman, have advised Staff of the Commission that they do not oppose the terms of the Order herein;

AND WHEREAS John Newman was sent written notice of the Temporary Order dated September 24, 1998 and the Order dated October 9, 1998;

IT IS ORDERED:

1. pursuant to section 21 of the Statutory Powers Procedures Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. S.22, as amended that the hearing is adjourned sine die to be brought back on with seven days' notice; and

2. pursuant to section 127(6) of the Act the Temporary Order issued against the Respondents on September 24, 1998 shall be extended until the conclusion of the hearing in this matter or until further Order of the Commission.
