You Have a Choice

If you choose not to use the Internet to provide personal information to a government ministry or agency, you can contact the ministry or agency by telephone, fax, mail, kiosk or in person. (Not all options may be available in every situation.)


Java Sessions & Cookies

Java is a programming language used by web servers to perform various tasks. A session describes the period you are browsing the OSC website. The OSC currently uses Java only to customize how our web pages are displayed. For example, your choice of language either English or French is temporarily stored in memory during your visit to the OSC site and is deleted after you have left the website.

Cookies are generally used to make it more convenient for users to move around a website. If you choose to allow this, they may be used to remember how you want web pages displayed or remember passwords. Some browsers identify a Java Session as a cookie. If this happens you may be asked if you want allow placement of a cookie on your computer. The only information recorded is your selection of how you want our site displayed. This cookie expires after your visit to the site.
