Hiring Process
Resume Collection
Resumes will be collected during the job posting period. When the posting closes, we will review the resumes against the hiring criteria. If your resume indicates your qualifications (e.g. education, skills, knowledge and experience) are a match with the posting you applied for, you will be contacted for an interview. If you are not invited for an interview your application and resume will be kept on file for future consideration.Interview
Interviews are usually conducted by the hiring manager and an HR Officer. A combination of technical and behavioural interview questions are usually asked to learn more about your professional and educational history. Notes will be taken to ensure accuracy when reviewing information at the end of the interview. For some positions, it’s useful to conduct a second interview with other members of the management team and/or staff. This is an opportunity to further assess your technical knowledge and experience and a chance for both sides to assess 'fit' with the role.
Tests or assignments may also be included as part of the interview stage. They are another tool that can be used as part of the selection decision. Tests and assignments may involve determining your proficiency in certain computer programs such as Excel. Assignments may involve reviewing a mock file and providing comments on deficiencies.
